Late spring 2022, I contacted Hudolin's Renovations about some minor work that we knew needed to be done at the front of the house. A few weeks later, I informed Dave that there was more work than previously thought. The roofing company could not install the much needed new roof until some structural issues were dealt with. Dave advised us the best way to deal with the roof and the structural issues. He brought in engineers and sub trades when needed. If a sub trade was unavailable, Dave had a back up he could contact. The crew cleaned up after each day's work. If there was a change in schedule, Dave would let us know immediately. I have detailed invoices and copies of engineering reports for future reference. Everyone that worked with Dave was professional and respectful.
Hudolin's Renovations fixed the structural issues so the new roof could be installed before fall. We also chose to make some updates during the renovation process as well, so Hudolin's Renovations worked inside our home as well. They also had to deal with our new puppy whether or not they liked dogs.
Due to the extensive scope of the work done to our house, I recommend Hudolin's Renovations.

We hired Hudolin’s Renovations to do a major renovation on our townhouse this past year. Dave was so patient and was there at a moment’s notice to answer any questions.He’s very proud of his work and it shows.The trades people he hired were also very respectful and followed his directions very well. If  there were any issues? Dave was on it immediately!!! As we all know there is always challenges, but Dave handled it head on in a timely manner.I have to give a shout out to Jay his right hand man also. Our place looks Amazing !!!!!!

We had Hudolin Renovations complete a major refurbishing of our home because of water leaks and age. We are very happy with the results and our home looks new again. David did a great job sourcing the many sub trades we needed and they were very responsive to his directions. If we should require similar services in the future, we would not hesitate to have him do the work.

Knowledgeable and trustworthy! We wanted to create a den for our teenagers by modifying the layout of a large room and adding sliding doors. Dave advised us and made it right without touching the house frame: utmost professionalism and respect for our belongings. Moreover, he dealt with the door provider's mishaps. We are already looking forward to the next upgrade of our property.

Amongst other things, one entire wall was replaced and another wall completely rebuilt due to leaking windows.

We had developed a few minor roof leaks over the years and in Dec 2020 it reached a point where repairs had to be made. Hudolins’s Renovations was recommended and we contacted Dave. He was very prompt in his reply and came right over. As the house 50 years old, Dave advised us that he could do the repairs but there would surely be underlying issues.

I will not go into the details of the repairs as the list goes on and on. All of the sub-contractors Dave hired were very professional and did excellent and very professional jobs from start to finish.
Although the costs were increasing, we believe Dave did his best to keep our costs to a minimum.

I was told by the City of Surrey that the garage conversion I had done was not up to code and needed to be fixed. My 89-year-old mother was living in the room at the time. The city said you will need engineers, architects, electricians etc. The search began. I really had no idea where to begin and then I found Dave. As soon as we started talking, I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I realized that he would take care of everything the city required.

Dave took the job, coordinated everything; permits, inspections, sub contractors all while ensuring that my mother had minimal disruption. Permits were a challenge with a few glitches especially with the pandemic, but Dave always communicated with us.

Once we had the permits, the work began. The sub-contractors Dave brought in were all extremely professional, punctual, polite and their workmanship was excellent. Dave was constantly there to check and ensure that everything was done to his high standards, including clean up at the end of the day. Dave is truly knowledgeable and offered many suggestions. He was open to changes and additions to the project (once we started, we decided to change our front door as well). Dave was always friendly and courteous no matter how many questions I had.

I would highly recommend Hudolin’s Renovations for any project where you need someone professional, honest, and reliable.

We had our tiles replaced in the shower. Dave and his partner Jay did an excellent job in removing the old tiles/dry wall and in installing the 100% waterproof Wedi Board. Dave coordinated the work to be completed by other trades efficiently and the end result is very satisfactory. We would not hesitate to recommend Hudolin's Renovations.

Dave and his crew helped with several home projects- installing wet bar in basement, hot tub pad in backyard, door installation, painting and drywall repair. Dave listened to our plans and brought them to life. He made suggestions to improve the project and save money. All work was done in a professional and timely manner. Dave and Jay did an excellent job installing a double door to soundproof my furnace room. Their ideas were practical and innovative, while having to work in a limited space. The doors look great.

I hired Dave of Hudolin’s Renovations to reno my bathroom. As I have only one bathroom in my home I decided to take a vacation during the project and kept in touch with Dave via email. I completely trusted him with the keys to my home and am very grateful for the respect he showed my home while I was away.

Dave managed all aspects of the project and dealt with any concerns regarding suppliers along the way, leaving me free to enjoy my time away. I came home to a new bathroom that was exactly as I had envisioned it: comfortable, safe and beautiful.

Dave recently completed the full renovation of our main bathroom. We found him keen to provide what we wanted but was able to make useful suggestions of his own. Dave hires talented and polite tradespeople but oversees all work. He is always on time and dependable, does a great cleanup and has given us a bathroom which we love.

I have hired Hudolin’s Renovations for a few different jobs over the past several years and the workmanship has always been exemplary, which, coming from me, is HUGE because I am excessively picky! It was my great pleasure to hire Dave Hudolin to complete a kitchen renovation in our condominium.

The job provided some special challenges as our unit is on the 4th floor of a wood frame apartment building. There is only one elevator and parking/unloading space is limited.

Dave was professional and helpful right from the beginning of the project to the end. He is knowledgeable about the processes required for building permits and planning. He provided us with clear estimates of the work we were about to do and when there were any changes he communicated these clearly and made certain we were in agreement before proceeding. The construction work he completed himself is of the highest quality. He took care of hiring and scheduling all the necessary tradespeople, making certain they were qualified. He supervised them thoroughly, watching for and correcting any deficiencies. There were very few difficulties, but there were a few as there is with any large renovation, and he dealt with it all calmly and efficiently.

We can’t say enough positive things about this experience. The results are superb. I would not hesitate to hire Dave Hudolin as builder/contractor for any building renovation.

We hired Dave to finish our basement. He did an excellent job. He applied for the permits, took care of hiring the other trades (structural engineer, electrician, drywaller and painter) and supervised their work. He was always receptive and listened to our ideas. When faced with unexpected challenges, Dave found the right solution. Always on time, he respected the deadlines and showed total professionalism in his work. On top of that, he has a great sense of humor. We certainly would hire him again.

Having been an avid fan of Holmes on Homes and numerous other home reno shows on HGTV, I know the sort of individual I wanted to do my two bathrooms of my old farmhouse. I had interviewed several contractors before Dave who had been vague about how the job would be completed and as to final cost.

Wow! What a pleasure to deal with. Dave Hudolin is a master craftsman and built a work of art when he constructed the new decks for our Lodge. I love my new bathroom! It is everything I hoped it would be. I am very happy with all the work you did on our bathroom/laundry room renovations. Your work was always professionally and neatly done. Dave Hudolin of Hudolin’s Renovations did an amazing job on our basement renovation—we couldn't be more pleased with this outcome. All of the trades that Dave brought in were courteous and professional. The project was completed on schedule, minus a couple of unforeseen hiccups. Dave himself was very courteous and patient with us, which meant a lot to us, especially as this was our first undertaking of a project of this type. We would highly recommend Dave and his services anytime.

Dave Hudolin was referred to me by my previous home builder to do complete a kitchen renovation which involved extending the back corner of our house, increasing the room by 180 sq.ft.

This obviously included the re-roofing.

My wife & I were so impressed with Dave’s thoroughness we decided to get him to increase the scope of our mandate.

By September Dave had removed my old carpets and was well on the way to transforming my house. As work progressed, I decided to renovate my kitchen instead of painting... Later, I decided not to wait... to renovate the two bathrooms, because the rest of the house was looking so good that the bathrooms didn’t fit in!

I soon realized that Dave was trustworthy. He had a key to my home and ensured the sub-trades came and went without risk to my possessions. Dave and Jay are miracle workers. They did our Crown Moulding and it looks absolutely fabulous. Having had issues with contractors in the past, we were skeptical about using one again. We had a large reno done and Dave and his team were awesome. Punctual, reliable, great work and all around a good team.

I’ve used Hudolin's Renovations [twice] with wonderful results. For the second project, I hired Dave to design and build a pergola in what is an odd shaped patio area. All I had was an artist concept drawing of what we were looking for.

We have just completed a major project with Dave Hudolin of Hudolin’s Renovations and can’t be more thrilled with the results. Dave and his partner Jay, built out our unfinished basement into a space that’s the envy of any custom home.

We wanted a space that was comfortable, inviting, modern and built with quality. Initially, my wife and I wanted a space for the kids and their friends to be able to enjoy television and socialize. The scope of the project then grew beyond that to include room for crafts and hobbies, storage, as well as a special place to enjoy wine. Using inspiration from Houzz.com , we collaborated with Dave on the details where he offered many good suggestions to ensure our needs were met. We had Dave look after our back yard renovation.

Our project included demolition, removal & replacement of our old rotted wood deck & fence and removal of existing concrete slab patio to be replaced with an interlock paver patio. There were considerable issues to deal with concerning permitting, engineering, drainage, landscaping and design so we needed someone who was up to the task and could assist us with guidance and suggestions at the outset and along the way.

Dave and his crew were equal to the task at every occasion!

We now have the back yard we had anticipated when starting the project, with a few bonus touches added along the way. We were very pleased with the attitude and professionalism shown by Dave and by the crews he brought in to complete the job.
